We are the Government’s primary adviser on environmental matters. We also have a stewardship role. This involves taking a long-term perspective on environmental issues when making decisions. The Ministry are aware, “New Zealand’s environment is facing a wide range of issues”. The ministry work to create policy and legistive change and there are often opportunities to have your say as well as get funding for relevant projects.
