A new facility opened in October 2018. The new West Melton community and recreation centre doesn’t have a hall as such like the old WM community hall. It has a wooden sprung stadium floor (full size basketball court complete with bleacher seating) a carpeted lounge that can accommodate up to 100 people, commercial kitchen and various smaller, cheaper community meeting rooms
