The Waimakariri District, named after the Waimakariri River, is approxiately 2,200Km2 and situated north of Christchurch. The Waimakariri District Council have an extensive portfolio of infrastucture, projects and facilities to support residence living in this area. There are many community and environmental organisations in the Waimakariri District with some amazing projects.
