Te Ara Kākāriki Greenway Canterbury Trust is an incorporated Charitable Trust with the goal of increasing biodiversity in Canterbury. Our mission is to create a ‘Greenway’ – a corridor of native biodiversity Greendots between the Waimakiriri and Rakaia Rivers, linking the mountains to the sea and Te Waihora / Lake Ellesmere. A major objective of the Trust is to encourage and provide assistance to both public and private landowners in the protection of existing indigenous vegetation and in the establishment of new areas of biodiversity plantings.
